Chew Chew Ch-Boogie!

Back in Grandma’s day, rail was the preferred way to travel in style.   Train travel was glamorous and passengers dined in restaurant-style dining cars.  The multi-course meals were prepared right on board in gourmet kitchens!

This week, BuenaVintage is selling a few pieces of that bygone era — a coffee pot from the Canadian Pacific railroad, a milk pitcher from Canadian National, and two cream pitchers from British Railways.  This is no flimsy china. These are heavy duty restaurantware and all have the company logo.  Apparently, collecting railroad china and other vintage railroad items is quite the hot hobby — eBay has created an entire category devote to it called “Railroadiana”!   Take a look!    Railroadiana on eBay

All aboard!
